How to Consign with Trail Creek

We're looking for seasonally appropriate gear from respected outdoor brands. Items must be in good condition and functioning properly. See details below on what qualifies. Then, fill out the forms and schedule an appointment. We'll look over your gear and together establish a price. You can choose to get cash or store credit which you will receive once your item(s) are sold!

What Qualifies?
We are looking for seasonally appropriate gear from respected outdoor brands!

Items must be in good condition and functioning properly (working zippers, no dog hair, clean with no holes, tears or stains)

Clean and assess your item(s) for wear, defects, and missing parts. Items must be “gently used” and not at the end of their lifetime in order to be considered for consignment. Any missing parts, heavy wear, or dirt will disqualify an item from begin consigned.

Outdoor apparel

Tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads and backpacks in various shapes and sizes

Cross country skis
-
Roof rack accessories (NO roof racks)

Snow shoes
-
All gear and equipment - in safe, operating condition
Example of items we DO NOT accept:

Bikes, skateboards, skis, snowboards

Climbing gear of any kind
-
Next to skin - hats, socks, gloves, base layers, sandals, and flip flops

Items with business names or event names
-
Hunting equipment
-
Roof racks
-
PFD’s (Personal floatation devices)
-
Electrical equipment - including stoves

Before Arriving at the Store:

Clean and assess your item(s) for wear, defects, and missing parts. Items must be “gently used” and not at the end of their lifetime in order to be considered for consignment. Any missing parts, heavy wear, or dirt will disqualify an item from consignment.

Download and fill out the Consignment Agreement and Intake Form. If you have already consigned items with TCO before, only the Intake Form is necessary.

Make an Intake Appointment.
Consignment Intake Day:
-
You and our helpful staff will establish an agreeable selling price for your item. A rule of thumb is a price of 40-50% of the current retail price, plus or minus depending on the overall condition and desirability of the item. In general, items with broken zippers, rips, or stains will not be accepted.

You will indicate whether to receive 60% of the price via check or receive 75% of the price in store credit which is directly deposited into your account. Your credit can be used at any time and does not expire.

We will provide you with a copy of the signed packet including the Consignment Agreement and Intake Form.
After Consignment:

Your items will be tagged and merchandised on the sales floor.

After 120 days, we will contact you regarding the items that have not sold. You can collect the items or they may be donated to a local charity.

Bimonthly, our Comptroller will place a check in the mail or apply store credit into your account for all sold items during that period. For store credit, you will be notified by email of the items sold and the amount of store credit. Your store credit can be used in store at both locations and will never expire.
